Choco Chip cookies

Chocolate chip cookies are everyone's all time favourite. Some like it with the chunky chocolate, some like it with chocolate chips, some prefer the chewy ones while some crave for the beautiful crunch. Whatever the preference may be, there is definitely a chocolate cookie for every one.
The ones that feature in this recipe are the soft textured cookies that would melt in your mouth. These need to be removed from the oven just when they start coming off from the edge but the centres are still a little soft. The cookies will harden slightly as they cool.
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
0.75 cup Cocoa
1 teaspoon baking powder
0.5 teaspoon salt
1.25 cup butter
2 cups sugar, powdered
2 eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla
0.5 cup choco chips or chunks
Method:
Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl
In another bowl, cream butter and sugar together at high speed. Beat in eggs one at a time.
Add the dry mix to butter mix and chocolate chips or chunks and knead into a soft dough
Keep aside a few chocolate chips to sprinkle on top of each cookie for added appeal
Wrap the dough in cling film and keep in the refrigerator for 45-60 mins
The cookies tend to spread a bit, so refrigeration is required to help them retain their shape. However, if you prefer thinner cookies, you make want to skip or shorten the time in the fridge.
Shape the dough into small balls, then flatten into slight cookies shape
Place on a lined baking tray about 1.5-2 inches apart leaving enough space for expansion
Bake for 8-11 minutes depending on your oven settings at 180 degrees
