Double chocolate cup cakes

When it comes to chocolate, a single dose is never enough. So, here comes the recipe that uses not one, but two types of chocolates with a generous topping of chocolate chips of every muffin.

It is so rich and decadent on its own, you hardly miss the frosting.

Ingredients -

2 cups plain flour

1/4th teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 cup plus

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

1/2 cup chopped baking chocolate / chocolate chips - milk or dark chocolate

1 tsp vanilla2 eggs3/4th cup milk1/4th cup curd / plain yogurt1 cup finely powdered sugar1/2 cup oil1/4th cup butter (or you can go for 3/4th cup oil and skip the butter)1/2 cup chocolate chips - for sprinkling

Method -

Line up to 15 cupcake moulds with cupcake liners

Pre heat the oven to 180 degrees

In a mixing bowl, mix together, flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder

In another mixing bowl, beat sugar, oil and butter until just smooth and slightly light

Beat eggs lightly and add to the wet mix

Mix milk and yogurt in a jar and keep ready.

Now we are going to mix the flour mix (dry) and the mix-yogurt mix (wet) to the butter mixture alternatively till all the ingredients are incorporated.

Toss in the chopped chocolate chunks/choco chips and a spoonful of vanilla.

Divide the mixture into 12-15 cupcake moulds and sprinkle generously with chocolate chips

Bake for 20-22 mins.
